A Wonderful Midsummer Concert

Smiles all round as the choir take the applause at the end of a lovely concert. With well controlled dynamics in Bob Chilcott’s delightful Furasato and some joyous piano playing from David Ballard and Philip Adams. The second half was virtually all unaccompanied music from the monastic order of Compline – beautifully sung.

A very fine concert superbly directed by David Ballard and performed to a large and appreciative audience. Thank you to St Peter’s Sheringham for hosting us and providing splendid interval refreshments. How wonderful to perform to a full house once again!

And it was so lovely to have both our past and present MP’s in the audience. Our new President, Rt Hon Sir Norman Lamb, introduced the concert and explained his belief that singing and other creative arts aid mental health. Duncan Baker informed us that SCCS is the “third mile” when he runs the next London Marathon in aid of 26 local charities and Ukranian refugees.
