2026 – 2027 Season

Having just completed a highly successful 2025-2026 season, including a near capacity audience at Binham Priory for a stunning performance of Brahms’ Ein Deutsches Requiem, we are pleased to announce the plans for the forthcoming year.

We start the year with our annual highly popular Come & Sing on Saturday 10 October which will be Feel the Spirit by Sir John Rutter in Lighthouse Church Sheringham.

On Saturday 14 November we perform Requiem by Maurice Duruflé and works by Ireland, Stanford and Vaughan Williams in St Peter’s Sheringham.

Our Christmas Concert will be held in St Joseph’s Church, Sheringham on Saturday 19 December.

On Saturday 4 April 2027 we will perform Requiem by Sir John Rutter in St Peter’s Sheringham.

We conclude the season on Saturday 24 July with a performance of The Armed Man by Sir Karl Jenkins in Cromer Parish Church, together with works by Cecilia McDowell, Rihads Dubra and Geoff Cummings Knight.

2026-2027 Season: Come & Sing With Us

We are the Music Makers!

Is 2026 the year YOU join us?

We are an 80 strong chorus whose repertoire spans 1000 years of music from Plainsong to Commissions, Bach to Beethoven and Mozart to Rutter…

Why not join us on Monday 12th January at 7:00 pm when we begin rehearsals for our next two concerts: The Music Makers – Elgar and Ein Deutsches Requiem – Brahms – see below for more details:

Membership now more than pre-pandemic numbers!

Inevitably, during COVID, numbers fell when we weren’t able to sing together for a long period of time. But numbers have been slowly creeping up and, now with nearly 80 singers, we have exceeded pre-pandemic levels. This isn’t really that surprising given that we have had the talented David Ballard at the helm for the past 10 years. Under his leadership we continue to perform a range of exciting (and sometimes challenging!) choral music. Whether it is a capella or with piano, organ or, sometimes, orchestral accompaniment David is ably supported by Philip Adams, a most accomplished accompanist. Our concert in St Peter’s Church, Sheringham on Saturday 15 November at 4:00 pm will, sadly, be the last occasion when Philip will be playing with us – this time on keyboard continuo at the heart of the chamber orchestra. Philip will be much missed so do take this opportunity to see and hear him in action! Over recent years our autumn afternoon concerts have proved very popular so do please come and join us for a feast of music by Beethoven and Bach.
