SCCS announces 2021 – 2022 Season programme
After such a long period of time without being able to sing together or perform concerts we are delighted to announce our planned programme for the coming season (COVID-19 regulations permitting):

3:00 pm Informal Concert Performance
Lighthouse Community Church
An all day workshop lead by our musical director David Ballard and accompanied by Philip Adams. The day will be spent exploring some or all of the following pieces of baroque choral music:
- J.S. Bach – Weinen, Klagen Sorgen, Zagen BWV 12 (Opening Chorus)
- J.S. Bach – Jesu, Joy of Mans Desiring from BWV 147
- Claudio Monteverdi – Beatus Vir
- Antonio Vivaldi – In Exitu Israel
- Henry Purcell – Te Deum in D
- G.F. Handel – Lord, I Trust Thee
- William Byrd – Sing Joyfully
- G.F. Handel – Sequence from Judas Maccabeus: See the Conquering Hero comes, Sing unto God etc.

Satuday 02 July 2022: ‘Night Music’
Lauridsen, Rheinberger, Brahms, Daniel Elder, Tallis, Shepphard, Byrd etc.
Two concerts in different venues, mixing 20th/21st century Nocturnes with music written for the monastic office of Compline.
