Come & Sing FEEL THE SPIRIT
Our annual Come & Sing event. This year we will be singing Feel the Spirit by the iconic Sir John Rutter.
Feel the Spirit was first performed on 17 June 2001 in Carnegie Hall, New York, by Melanie Marshall (mezzo-soprano), the New England Symphonic Ensemble and participating choirs. The conductor was John Rutter.
An all day workshop lead by our musical director David Ballard and accompanied by Cathy Al-Bay.
Concludes with an informal concert performance at 4:00 pm open to all. Retiring collection in aid of choir funds.
Outline Timetable for the Day
- 10:00 am Arrival and distribution of scores
- 10:30 am Workshop commences
- 12:30 pm Lunch break
- 4:00 pm Concert Performance open to all friends and family
Transport / Car Parking
There is limited car parking space available on site (including 2 disabled parking spaces). Alternatively park in the main public car park situated close to the A1082 Holway Road / A149 Cromer Road roundabout. Up to three hours free parking is available at Tesco, Cromer Road, Sheringham. If you do not mind a 10 minute or so walk there is free car parking on The Esplanade
Sheringham (Greater Anglia) train station is a short walk from the venue. Details can be found here.
Regular buses from Norwich and and local towns/villages to the east and west stop close to the venue. Visit Sanders Coaches for details.
Refreshment Arrangements
Tea, Coffee and cakes will be available on arrival and at breaks and lunchtime. Please either bring your own packed lunch or visit one of the many cafes or hostelries in town – just a short walk away.
