How to join
Membership of Sheringham and Cromer Choral Society is open to all. We rehearse on Monday evenings, from 7pm to 9pm during school term time in Sheringham. Rehearsals currently take place in St Andrew‘s Methodist Church, Cromer Road but may vary just before a concert. Members can find full details of Rehearsal dates and venues in the Member’s Diary.
We welcome new members and at present there are places available in all voices. The choir has members of all levels of experience and abilities. There is no audition for new members. Joining the choir offers the opportunity for less experienced singers to gain confidence and improve their singing whilst giving those with more experience opportunities to expand their repertoire and be challenged.
- The subscription for 2025-26 will be £140 for the season or £50 per term (with a maximum payment of £140)
- We offer free membership for under 18 year-olds and a 50% discount for under 30s.
- We encourage choir members to pay the annual fee when the new season begins in September but it is also possible to pay in instalments.
- A small Bursary Fund exists to assist those whose personal circumstances make it difficult for them to pay a subscription. If this is the case please contact the Treasurer
- If you are thinking of joining us, we encourage you to come along to two or three rehearsals free of charge without making a formal commitment to join the choir.
- The Society is governed by a Constitution which all members are asked to abide by when they join.
