Duncan Baker MP runs the London Marathon for Sheringham and Cromer Choral Society

We are delighted to announce, and indeed acknowledge, that we have received a further £250 from the Paul Bassham Charitable Trust. This additional sum was paid by them directly to each of the charities supported by Duncan. A complete – but very welcome – surprise! Thank you.

UPDATE 4 NOVEMBER 2021

We are delighted to share the news that Duncan Baker completed the London Marathon in 4 hours 16 minutes and 30 seconds raising £31,696.08. Consequently he has donated £1219.08 to Sheringham and Cromer Choral Society being our 1/26th share of the total.

Well done, Duncan – very many congratulations and huge thanks from all in the choir.

26 CHARITIES CHOSEN FOR £26,000 MARATHON FUNDRAISER

Following a live draw this morning, the 26 charities which will benefit from local MP Duncan Baker’s London Marathon run later this year have been chosen. 43 charities were nominated by North Norfolk residents, and in a local version of the National Lottery draw streamed live on Facebook, Duncan and his family selected the 26 charities who will each receive £1,000 as part of his marathon £26,000 fundraising endeavour.

We are delighted that Sheringham and Cromer Choral Society is one of the selected charities.
